Location code defined for every component in BOM serves as the assumed default source location of the item. The default source location is defined in M/F Options table. It is required in BOM maintenance which will then reflect in the MO record upon MO creation.
The user will have the option to change these locations during M/F Issuances. There could be instances that these locations contain zero stock.
Additional information: In P/P Production Planning module, the source location of an item is extracted from the MO record, and is used to identify what Distribution Network the item belongs to. Stock quantity of the item in this location will serve as a part of the planning run.
